This is my first colored portrait ever made. SInce i drew the horse, i was curious about what could be the result of using color in a portrait! This beatiful lady is my passed Grandmother Mary Light-Foot! A simple person which conquered the hearts of generations...

I used hard pastel pencils and bars. Hope you like the result as i did!!!

This is a pencil drawing made with Derwent Graphitint pencils. I found them a bit tricky at the begining, but as i go deeper in the drawing, i was admired with the final tones of the pencils.

His name David Coelho was born in the city of Torres Novas - Portugal, in the parish of St. Salvador in 1979. He studied up to 9th grade in Alcanena Secondary School, where he would be recognized by Visual Arts teachers as having a gift in the drawing area. Sylvia Bairro was a teacher, which compared his drawings to paintings of famous artists, who had never heard or seen any work. He then went to the School Artur Gonçalves in Torres Novas, following the course of Art and Design, which has not completed due to call for mandatory military service.

Currently father of an happy couple and the husband of a wife who has always believed in him, devotes more time with what he always wanted the drawing. Draws up portraits in graphite / charcoal on demand and provides some services in graphic design. But it is in the drawing that meets himself in the pursuit of ideal concept because it is in the conception that spends more time. He desires that his works raise reactions in people. Very attentive to the present, he transcribes social situations and personal for the role, never losing sight of the artist who did awaken to the beauty of the drawing, Salvador Dalí. Today has other artists such as "gurus" to his imagination, based on surrealism neosurrealismo and hyperrealism.
